Privacy Policy

PawMatch helps dog owners find playdates and walking companions nearby. This policy describes exactly what we store, why, and how to get rid of it. It describes the app as it actually works today, not as it might work later.
What we collect
- Your mobile number. Used only to sign you in and to let you back into your account on a new device. It is never shown to other users.
- Your dog's profile — name, breed, age, temperament, interests, and the photo you choose or upload.
- Your activity in the app — which dogs you liked or passed on, your matches, and the messages you send in those matches.
We do not collect your location. PawMatch does not request or receive GPS, and the distance shown on a profile is an approximate figure attached to that profile — it is not calculated from where you are.
We remove hidden data from photos. Photos taken on a phone usually carry EXIF metadata, which often includes the exact GPS coordinates where the picture was taken. Every uploaded photo is re-encoded on our server, which discards that metadata before the photo is stored or shown to anyone.
What we do not do
- No advertising, and no advertising identifiers.
- No analytics or tracking SDKs.
- We do not sell or rent your data, to anyone, ever.
Who else can see it
Other signed-in users can see your dog's profile: its name, photo, breed, age, temperament and approximate distance. They cannot see your phone number.
We use Google Firebase and Google Cloud (authentication, database, file storage and hosting) to run the service. Your data is stored on Google Cloud servers in India (asia-south1). Google processes it on our behalf and under our instructions.
How long we keep it
Until you delete it. Deleting your account removes your profile, your photos, your likes, your matches and the messages in them. This is immediate and cannot be undone.
Your choices
- Delete everything — Profile → Delete account, inside the app. See Delete your data for the full details.
- Change or remove your photo — Profile → Photo, at any time.
- Ask us anything — email ayush@houseoftech.ai and we will answer within 30 days.
Age
PawMatch is for adults. You must be 18 or older to create a profile, and we ask you to confirm this during sign-up. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18 we delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we will say so in the app before the change applies.
